Diana Salas is currently a PhD student at University of Massachusetts Boston, McCormack Graduate School of Policy Studies. Her research areas include gender, poverty and immigration. Prior to attending UMASS Boston, Ms. Salas was the Associate Director of the Women of Color Policy Network, where she worked to bridge research and advocacy to create informed public policies. Formerly an organizer, she has worked with immigrant communities, voter rights, and housing. Diana is currently a member of Neighbors United for a Better East Boston (NUBE), and on the board of Cidadao Global. Diana has received numerous awards in recognition of her community efforts, including a New York City Council Citation. She holds a BA from Queens College and an MPA from NYU Wagner.
